Symptoms such as inflammation that appear after recovering from a corona infection can lead to heart problems in children, a study has found.
The study, published in the journal Ecclesiastical Medicine, looked at 600 children who were tested for Multi-Inflammatory Syndrome, a condition in which children with asymptomatic coronavirus showed signs of inflammation.
According to the study, Alvoro Morera, of the Central University of Texas Health Sciences in San Antonio, USA, said that children with MIS-C symptoms were less likely to develop symptoms of Kovid 19 infection.
In the study, scientists examined 662 MIS – C cases reported worldwide between January 1 and July 25. Of these, 71% of children are admitted to the intensive care unit. Sixty percent of children stay in the hospital for seven to nine days and have increased immunity.
According to the scientists, 662 children in the study had fever and 73.7 percent of the children suffered from stomach ache and diarrhea. Say 68.3 percent of children suffered from vomiting. 90 children underwent echocardiogram and 54 per cent of the cases were abnormal, he said.
